Travel to Japan Update

From October 11, these new rules will be in effect.

  1. The pre-bording PCR test is not required to enter Japan after if your vaccination certificate meets the Japanese government’s requirement. It must satisfy the requirements here - https://www.mhlw.go.jp/content/000997373.pdf

  2. If you are a passport holder of the 68 countries with the visa exemption arrangements, you can obtain a visa on arrival starting October 11th, 2022.

    See the list of countries for Visa Exemptions  Please ask us if you are not sure.

As of October 8th, the requirements for entering Japan are:

1. Valid Vaccination Certification or pre-boarding PCR Test

If your vaccination certificate meets the Japanese government’s requirement, you do not need a pre-boarding PCR test to enter Japan.

(a) The certificate must be issued by a government or public institution

(b) The items must be indicated in Japanese or English

(c) The certificate must clearly show that you have received 3 doses of any of the vaccines listed on the site.

2. Sign up for Visit Japan Web, upload your vaccination certivicate, and answer some questions. Visit Japan Web is called “Fast Track” and speeds up the entry process on arrival at the airport.

When you arrive in Japan to take part in our tour, you agree to

1. Wear masks when required or requested to do so, sanitize your hands, and keep the appropriate distance.

2. Have medical insurance coverage for COVID.

3. Follow the local guidelines when you test positive for COVID or are identified having close contact with someone who tested positive. Even if the quarantine period goes beyond your planned departure date, you agree to isolate yourself according to the period required in Japan and depart after your required quarantine period is over.

No quarantine is required after arriving in Japan.
